{"id":13752,"date":"2012-04-05T15:08:54","date_gmt":"2012-04-05T19:08:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=13752"},"modified":"2012-04-05T14:19:48","modified_gmt":"2012-04-05T18:19:48","slug":"reggie-miller-leads-hall-of-fame-class-of-2012","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=13752","title":{"rendered":"Reggie Miller Leads Hall Of Fame Class Of 2012"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Five-time All-Star <strong>Reggie Miller<\/strong> and longtime coach <strong>Don Nelson<\/strong> are among a dozen players, coaches and teams that will be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.<\/p>\n<p>The class of 2012 was announced Monday in New Orleans, the site of the Final Four.<\/p>\n<p>Also elected were two-time Olympic gold medalist <strong>Katrina McClain<\/strong>, three-time college player of the year <strong>Ralph Sampson<\/strong>, four-time NBA champion, <strong>Jamaal Wilkes<\/strong>, longtime referee<strong> Hank Nichols<\/strong>, and the All-American Red Heads, the female version of the Harlem Globetrotters.<\/p>\n<p>Five members of the class had already been announced: Nike co-founder <strong>Phil Knight<\/strong>, ABA star <strong>Mel Daniels<\/strong>, seven-time NBA All-Star, <strong>Chet Walker<\/strong>,<\/p>\n<p>Olympian <strong>Don Barksdale<\/strong> and <strong>Lydija Alexeeva<\/strong>, who led the Soviet Union to two Olympic gold medals.<\/p>\n<p>The class will be inducted Sept. 7 at the Hall of Fame in Springfield, Mass.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Five-time All-Star Reggie Miller and longtime coach Don Nelson are among a dozen players, coaches and teams that will be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
