{"id":13586,"date":"2012-03-26T16:25:58","date_gmt":"2012-03-26T20:25:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=13586"},"modified":"2012-03-26T16:25:58","modified_gmt":"2012-03-26T20:25:58","slug":"qb-josh-johnson-signs-with-49ers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=13586","title":{"rendered":"QB Josh Johnson Signs With 49ers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Former Buc QB <strong>Josh Johsnon<\/strong> will be reuniting with his former college coach, <strong>Jim Harbaugh<\/strong>, for the 2012 NFL season as <strong>Johnson<\/strong> has just signed a two-year deal with the San Francisco 49ers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Johnson<\/strong> played for Harbaugh at the University of San Diego where he set the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision record for passing efficiency. <strong>Johnson<\/strong> played his first four seasons in the NFL with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and will now reunite with <strong>Harbaugh<\/strong> in San Francisco.<\/p>\n<p>The 49ers still have <strong>Alex Smith<\/strong> on the team so it isn\u2019t clear what role <strong>Johnson<\/strong> will have on the time.<\/p>\n<p>Niners general manager <strong>Trent Baalke<\/strong>, said: \u201c<strong>Josh<\/strong> is a promising young player that has experience in our offensive system. He is a skilled athlete with good arm talent. <strong>Josh<\/strong> has shown promise in limited action, both as a backup and starter at the NFL level.
