One person was pronounced deceased and was later identified as <strong>Charles Jones, <\/strong>26, who went\u00a0by the stage name <strong>\u201cJulio Foolio.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Three subjects have been arrested in connection with the June 23 murder of <strong>Charles Jones, aka \u201cJulio Foolio\u201d <\/strong>in a targeted gang-related killing<strong>;<\/strong> and two additional suspects are wanted.<\/p>\n<p>Arrested are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>21-year-old Alicia L. Andrews<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Charged with Pre-Meditated First-Degree Murder with a Firearm; Conspiracy to Commit Pre-Meditated First-Degree Murder with a Firearm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>21-year-old Isaiah J. <\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Charged with Pre-Meditated First-Degree Murder with a Firearm; Conspiracy to Commit Pre-Meditated First-Degree Murder with a Firearm<\/li>\n<li><strong>18-year-old Sean A. Gathright<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Charged with Pre-Meditated First-Degree Murder with a Firearm (two counts); Attempted Pre-Meditated Murder in the First-Degree with a Firearm (three counts); and Tampering with Physical Evidence.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Wanted For Murder:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>30-year-old Rashad Murphy<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>27-year-old Davion Murphy<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>While three are in custody, two remain at large. Tampa Police Department and Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office urge anyone that could assist with the location of <strong>Rashad Murphy<\/strong> and <strong>Davion Murphy<\/strong> to provide that information to investigators.<br \/>\nBetween June 21-23, 2024, <strong>Isaiah Chance, Alicia Andrews, Sean Gathright, Davion Murphy, <\/strong>and<strong> Rashad<\/strong> <strong>Murphy<\/strong> conspired to commit the first-degree premediated murder of <strong>Charles Jones<\/strong>, also known as \u201c<strong>Julio Foolio.\u201d<\/strong> All five suspects traveled from Jacksonville to Tampa on June 22, 2024, in two separate vehicles to locate and kill <strong>Jones<\/strong> in retaliation for an ongoing Jacksonville rival gang feud.<\/p>\n<p>Detectives with the Tampa Police Department (TPD) and Jacksonville Sheriff&#8217;s Office (JSO), working in close partnership, gathered evidence and developed leads to identify the parties involved in the murder and make the three arrests, with a continued focus on arresting the outstanding subjects.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cThe City of Tampa is not where you want to come to settle a dispute. You will be arrested, you will be charged, and you will be<\/em> <em>prosecuted.<\/em> <em>Our detectives remain committed to holding all those responsible accountable for their actions,\u201d<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><strong>said<\/strong><strong> Tampa Police Chief Lee Bercaw.\u00a0<\/strong><em>\u201cThis case is a prime example of the cooperation and collaboration of all those in law enforcement to bring dangerous criminals to justice. We hope these arrests provide some closure for the victims\u2019 families and loved ones.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><em><br \/>\n<\/em><em>\u201cThere\u2019s no place you\u2019ll be able to hide if you commit a crime in Jacksonville, or any other city in the state of Florida,\u201d\u00a0<\/em><strong>said<\/strong><strong> Sheriff TK Waters, <\/strong><strong>of the Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office<\/strong><em><strong>.<\/strong><\/em> <em>\u201cToday, three dangerous criminals are off our Florida streets and in police custody where they belong. We will always work with our law enforcement partners to ensure that our communities are free of those who choose violence over<\/em> <em>peace.\u201d<\/em><em><br \/>\n<\/em><em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cThese criminals decided to bring their fight to Hillsborough County. Let me be clear, the feud ends here,\u201d\u00a0<\/em><strong>said<\/strong> <strong>Hillsborough County State Attorney <\/strong><strong>Suzy Lopez<\/strong><em>.<\/em><em> \u201cMy office will vigorously prosecute each of these defendants to ensure they are held accountable for the calculated murder of <strong>Charles Jones.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>On June 23, 2024, <strong>Isaiah Chance <\/strong>and<strong> Alicia Andrews<\/strong> tracked and followed the victim and his entourage to two separate locations. At each location they got out of their vehicle, and <strong>Chance<\/strong> used a cell phone. After the cell phone communication, a second suspect vehicle arrived at each location. Both vehicles then followed the victim and his entourage to the Home 2 Suites located at 11606 McKinley Dr., where the homicide occurred.<\/p>\n<p>At Homes 2 Suites, one vehicle drove by the victim\u2019s parked vehicles twice and left, then three armed shooters exited a vehicle and began shooting at the victim\u2019s vehicles killing <strong>Charles Jones<\/strong> and injuring three additional victims. Based on the investigation, the three shooters were identified as <strong>Rashad Murphy, Sean Gathright, <\/strong>and<strong> Davion Murphy.\u00a0<\/strong><strong><br \/>\nCharles Jones<\/strong> is documented by the Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office to be a \u201c6 Block\u201d gang member in Jacksonville. The 6 Block gang has a long ongoing feud with two other allied street gangs known as \u201cATK\u201d and \u201c1200\u201d. <strong>Isaiah Chance<\/strong> is a documented ATK member. <strong>Rashad Murphy<\/strong> is a documented 1200 gang member, and <strong>Davion Murphy<\/strong> is a documented 1200 gang associate.<br \/>\nThe motive for this homicide is tied to an ongoing feud spanning years between <strong>Charles Jones\u2019<\/strong> 6 Block gang and two rival gangs, ATK and 1200 allied together. The feud between 6 Block and its rival gangs ATK and 1200 has spanned over a decade with dozens of murders by and against both sides. It was apparent the suspects worked together acting in concert to actively hunt, and ultimately kill, <strong>Charles Jones<\/strong> as a part of this gang feud.<\/p>\n<p>On the afternoon of June 27, 2024, the JSO SWAT team arrested <strong>Andrews<\/strong> and <strong>Chance<\/strong> at a residence, and arrested <strong>Gathright<\/strong> at a local Jacksonville shopping center. The arrests were made without incident.
