\u00a0\u2026Accused of their deaths<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Thomas Mosley<\/strong> is accused of stabbing\u00a0Pashun Jeffery<\/strong> more than 100 times in March 2023 in\u00a0St. Pete<\/a>. She was found in her apartment and her son, two-year-old, Taylen<\/strong> was found a day later in a lake close to Mosley\u2019s<\/strong> mother\u2019s home. Police said evidence puts Mosley<\/strong> at both scenes.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Thomas was in court last Friday (June 14) for an update on his second competency hearing. He was sent away to a State hospital in late 2023 to be evaluated. Jeffery<\/strong> and Taylen\u2019s<\/strong> family was in the courtroom Friday wearing shirts with pictures of the mother and son.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Dr. Theresa L. Ascheman Jones<\/strong> who evaluated Mosley at the facility, testified that she found Mosley competent to proceed in January.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0There will be more testimony from doctors at the second half of the competency hearing next Friday (June 21st<\/sup>). That\u2019s when the judge is expected to decide if Mosley<\/strong> is competent to stand trial.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty. Mosley<\/strong> has pleaded not guilty.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
