In fact, the “Texas Hold \u2018Em” singer’s mother Tina Knowles<\/a><\/strong> reflected on her favorite memories of her childhood, and shared that Queen Bey went through some struggles in school.<\/p>\n

“Beyonc\u00e9\u2014she was very shy, and she got bullied a bit,” Tina shared in a\u00a0Vogue<\/em>video<\/a> posted May 27. “But the day that she stood up for someone\u2014she didn’t stand up for herself but she stood up for them, I’m getting emotional talking about it\u2014I couldn’t have been more proud.”<\/p>\n

And while Tina visibly teared up when describing Beyonc\u00e9’s school days, she also gushed about her other daughter, Solange<\/a> <\/strong>and\u00a0Destiny’s Child<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>member Kelly Rowland<\/a><\/strong>, who lived with the Knowles family from a young age.<\/p>\n

“Solange, she was only in about fifth grade and she was out getting petitions signed,” Tina added. “So she was always an activist.”<\/p>\n
