What\u2019s more, she earned nearly $1 million in scholarships from 13 universities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rice attributes her success to the support and guidance of her teachers and parents.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWalking into college, goals that I have are just to keep my head on straight and continue to make the people around me proud. But, as far as academics, I\u2019m just up for the challenge because I\u2019m ready to be challenged, and do the best that I can,\u201d Rice told\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.knoe.com\/2024\/05\/13\/richwood-high-school-valedictorian-receives-close-one-million-dollars-scholarships\/\">KNOE<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the fall of 2024, Rice will begin her college career at Louisiana Tech University, where she plans to pursue a degree in chemical engineering. Her ambition is driven by a desire to combat environmental pollution and minimize its impacts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Moreover, Rice encourages others to chase their dreams no matter what.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cEven if you don\u2019t think it\u2019s possible, you should still strive to excel and go beyond whatever the goal may be, because you never know what you can do.
