KEVON CHRISTMAS<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n On Sunday, police responded to a shooting that took place early in the morning. Police responded to the calls for help around 3 a.m.<\/p>\n \u00a0According to Tampa Police, officers began the investigation shortly before 3:00 a.m., they responded to the 500 block of S. Howard Avenue.<\/p>\n Upon arrival at the location of the shooting and based on the preliminary investigation, it is believed that the three people injured were known to each other and had previously interacted with one another. Prior to shots being fired, the three adult men were engaged in a dispute that then escalated.<\/p>\n Officers assigned to the SOHO area were already on scene at the time of the incident as they were assigned to disburse the crowd.<\/p>\n As a result of the shooting, two of the men died as a result of their injuries. Those two subjects have been identified and their next of kin have been notified. \nA third shooting victim remains hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n
