The shooting claimed the life of an 11-year-old St. Petersburg boy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 According to police, at 12:15 p.m., police responded to a house at 1421 43rd St. S., for a gunshot wound to an 11-year-old boy. <strong>Amir Williams,<\/strong> was born on July 13, 2012, and died at the<br \/>\nscene, on April 26, 2024.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 There was no school on that day and <strong>Amir <\/strong>was home with his 14-year-old brother and 13-year-old sister.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 14-year-old brother admitted he was playing with the gun and accidentally shot his 11-year-old brother.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The gun was reported stolen on April 24th in St. Petersburg.\u00a0 Detectives are still trying to determine how the 14-year-old had possession of it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is an ongoing investigation and no one has been charged at this time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AMIR WILLIAMS An investigation into a fatal shooting is currently continuing.
