\nShortly after 2:30 a.m., on Sunday, April 28th<\/sup>, officers on specialty patrol in the SOHO area were responding to a fight when they heard shots fired nearby and
\nimmediately responded to the gunfire.<\/p>\n

During the investigation, officers learned the incident started with a fight
\namong several adults in a parking lot on the corner of South Howard Avenue and
\nDeLeon Street.<\/p>\n

Kelvin Terry, <\/strong>29, told police he had been punched,
\nand his friend had been hit by several people. During the altercation, Terry <\/strong>admitted to firing shots.<\/p>\n

No one reported any injuries from the shots fired,
\nbut a nearby building was struck several times.<\/p>\n

As a result of the incident, several people were arrested and face charges.<\/p>\n

Tomia Gay, <\/strong>23, was charged with battery;
\nSantrice West<\/strong>, 23, was charged with battery and introduction of contraband into a detention facility.<\/p>\n

Derrick Hunter, Jr., <\/strong>23, was charged with \u00a0battery; Kelvin Terry<\/strong> was charged with \u00a0shooting at, within or into a building,
