Kelly<\/a>\u00a0has sued to get his commissary funds back, after they were allegedly taken by the United States government to satisfy a judgment against him.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>According to court documents obtained by\u00a0<em>HipHopDX<\/em>, a hearing on the matter is scheduled for Monday (March 18), with Assistant United States Attorney Kayla Bensing representing the United States. The oral arguments will be livestreamed, and a link to the livestream can be found\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ww2.ca2.uscourts.gov\/court.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>In March 2023, the Illinois Supreme Court ruled\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/hiphopdx.com\/news\/r-kelly-record-label-judgment-payout\">Heather Williams was entitled to access the disgraced singer\u2019s label fund<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 which was reportedly valued at $1.5 million in 2020, according to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/pro\/r-kelly-victim-priority-sony-royalties-court-rules\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i>Billboard<\/i><\/a>\u00a0\u2014 before Midwest Commercial Funding, a property manager that won its own separate $3.5 million ruling against Kelly over unpaid rent on a Chicago studio.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>R.
