ESPN\u2019s Adam Schefter said Sunday that the team is unlikely to do that, however.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>In most cases, the value of the franchise tag is determined by averaging the top five salaries league-wide at the player\u2019s position. That figure would be just under $20 million for Jones, but his situation is unique since his salary cap hit for 2023 was significantly more than that.
