Five Tampa residents were given sentences that ranged from 17 years to 32 years in federal prison. They were convicted of a string of armed robberies that spanned four counties.<\/p>\n
Judge Virginia Covington<\/strong> sentenced Daisy Louise Thomas<\/strong>, 32, to 17 years in prison. She was convicted during a jury trial on November 17, 2011. Antoine Markeist Harris<\/strong>, 21, was sentenced to 19 years and 7 months in federal prison. Antonio Cortez Harris, Jr.<\/strong>, 22, Rykeith Andre Levatte,<\/strong> 25, and Alden Bernard Lewis<\/strong>, were each sentenced to 32 years in prison. They all entered a guilty plea on November 1, 2011.<\/p>\n All five were also sentenced to a five-year term of supervised release after they complete their prison sentences.<\/p>\n According to court documents, on May 11, 2010, the All About You Hair Salon in New Port Richey was robbed. Evidence presented at trial connected Ms. Thomas<\/strong>, Rykeith<\/strong> Levatte<\/strong>, and another person to that robbery.<\/p>\n The suspects reportedly wore disguises and brandished firearms.<\/p>\n On May 24, 2010, Levatte, Lewis<\/strong>, and another suspect entered King\u2019s Grocery in Tampa, wearing disguises and demanding money. Ms. Thomas<\/strong> was the getaway driver.<\/p>\n The string of robberies continued on May 25, 2010. The four men entered a 7-Eleven Store in Pinellas Park and robbed it at gunpoint. The following day, the four men hit another 7-Eleven Store in Gibsonton and robbed it at gunpoint as well.<\/p>\n Other robberies took place at another 7-Eleven Store, and a Circle K in Tampa; a Hess Station and a 7-Eleven Store in New Port Richey; a 7-Eleven Store in Lakeland; and a Mobil Gas Station in Land O\u2019 Lakes.<\/p>\n The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, Tampa Police Department, Hillsborough County Sheriff\u2019s Office, Pasco County Sheriff\u2019s Office, Lakeland Police Department, New Port Richey Police Department, Pinellas Park Police Department, and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement were involved in the investigation.<\/p>\n Pictured: DAISY LOUISE THOMAS-Sentenced to 17 years in prison; ANTONIO HARRIS, JR.-Sentenced to 32 years in prison;\u00a0 ANTOINE HARRIS-Sentenced to 19 years, 7 months in prison; RYKEITH LEVATTE-Sentenced to 32 years in prison<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Five Tampa residents were given sentences that ranged from 17 years to 32 years in federal prison.
