A Hillsborough County teacher has been arrested and charged with three counts of lewd battery and two counts of lewd or lascivious molestation.<\/p>\n
Hillsborough County Sheriff\u2019s detectives began their investigation when the victim\u2019s mother notified them she believed her 12-year-old son was having sex with a 29-year-old female known to the family.<\/p>\n
The woman, Ethel Anderson<\/strong>, is a teacher at Mango Elementary School. The victim is not one of her students.<\/p>\n Detectives said beginning in December 2011 through February 2012 while at Anderson\u2019s<\/strong> residence on Waterton Drive, she had sex and inappropriate touching with the victim.<\/p>\n School officials said Anderson<\/strong> would be suspended with pay, and they will take action later this month to have her suspended without pay.<\/p>\n Spokesperson, Linda Cobbe<\/strong>, said Anderson<\/strong> called in sick to school all week, and was preparing paperwork to take a leave of absence.<\/p>\n Anderson<\/strong> had worked for the school district since 2006, and taught two fifth-grade language arts classes.
