{"id":12961,"date":"2012-02-20T16:29:13","date_gmt":"2012-02-20T21:29:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=12961"},"modified":"2012-02-20T16:50:56","modified_gmt":"2012-02-20T21:50:56","slug":"emergency-electric-bill-help-available-for-seniors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=12961","title":{"rendered":"Emergency Electric Bill Help Available For Seniors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hillsborough County\u2019s Home Energy Assistance Program (EHEAP) has funds immediately available to assist senior citizens with payments of their delinquent electric bills.\u00a0 Applications and qualification requirements must be submitted by March 31 at a Neighborhood Service Center.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Households may qualify if they meet the following criteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>*\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Have a total household gross income below 150 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines;<br \/>\n*\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Have at least one member that is 60 years or older;<br \/>\n*\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Reside in Hillsborough County;<br \/>\n*\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Are a U. S. Citizen, qualified alien or permanent resident of the U.S; and<br \/>\n*\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Have a recent past due or final notice energy bill.<br \/>\nAdditional requirements may be necessary for eligibility determination. Applicants will be informed of these requirements at the time of application.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>*\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Applications are accepted at a local Neighborhood Service Center.<br \/>\n*\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Proof of income for all household members for the last 30 days. This proof can be a pay check stub,<br \/>\nemployer letter, public assistance check, Supplementary Security Income check, unemployment check or a pension check stub.<br \/>\n*\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Proof of home energy obligation or electric bill.<br \/>\n*\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Picture identification.<br \/>\n*\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Proof of Hillsborough County residency, such as: valid driver\u2019s license with current address, a letter from your landlord or mortgage company, voter\u2019s registration card, etc.<br \/>\nResidents can apply at their local Neighborhood Service Centers<\/p>\n<p>*\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Lee Davis Neighborhood Service Center, 3402 N. 22nd St. in Tampa, (813) 272-5220<br \/>\n*\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Plant City Neighborhood Service Center, 307 N.
