The Hillsborough County Sheriff\u2019s Office arrested a man and charged him in connection with the beating death of an infant. The murder took place on Saturday at the child\u2019s home.<\/p>\n

According to police, on Thursday, Ms. Lukrisha Milliner<\/strong>, 25, left her infant son, Nasir E. Milliner<\/strong>, with her boyfriend, 24-year-old Derron Dennard Brown<\/strong>. The infant was in Brown\u2019s<\/strong> custody from 8:25 a.m., to 9:37 a.m.<\/p>\n

Ms. Milliner<\/strong> told police that when she returned home, she notice her son appeared to be unresponsive. She contacted EMS and the child was transported to Florida Hospital, (formerly University Community Hospital), where he later died.<\/p>\n

During the investigation, police interviewed Brown<\/strong>, who allegedly admitted that while he and the child were alone, he \u201cknowingly and intentionally struck the child\u2019s torso several times with his shoulder, forearm, head, and closed fist.\u201d<\/p>\n

During an autopsy performed by the Hillsborough County Medical Examiner\u2019s Office on Friday, it was determined that \u201cthe child died due to blunt trauma impact to the torso, with liver laceration,\u201d police said.<\/p>\n

Police arrested Brown<\/strong> on Friday and charged him with first-degree murder and aggravated child abuse. He is being held at the Hillsborough County Jail without bond.<\/p>\n
