{"id":12316,"date":"2012-01-17T09:42:36","date_gmt":"2012-01-17T14:42:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=12316"},"modified":"2012-01-17T09:48:02","modified_gmt":"2012-01-17T14:48:02","slug":"hes-a-businessman-by-day-cowboy-by-passion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=12316","title":{"rendered":"He&#8217;s A Business- man By Day, Cowboy By Passion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>BY TAMECA JOHNSON<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> Freelance Writer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Cary White<\/strong> has always been a man with a plan.\u00a0 The desire for security, led him to take the road more traveled.\u00a0 The New York native and design engineer graduated high school, moved to Gainesville to attend the University of Florida, transferred to the University of South Florida then earned a Master&#8217;s Degree from the University of Phoenix.<\/p>\n<p>His plan for financial security was well in place, or so it seemed; then came the year 2003 that put a dent in everything.<\/p>\n<p>That year the stock market took a dive and along with it, <strong>White&#8217;s<\/strong> years of retirement savings.\u00a0 &#8220;I had stocks worth $43 a share that went down to $3 a share.&#8221;\u00a0 <strong>White<\/strong> also lost his Executive level position with Avaya Lucent and AT&amp;T.<\/p>\n<p>With little money and no job, he needed a plan B and it came in the form of a birthday party.\u00a0 &#8220;I went to a party on a farm that my son was invited to and the host challenged me to a horse ride.&#8221;\u00a0 The horse&#8217;s owner told <strong>White<\/strong> if he could successfully ride the horse he could have it.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;That horse was a bad boy.\u00a0 The lady who challenged me had gotten a cracked rib riding it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>What the horse owner didn&#8217;t know was that <strong>White<\/strong> was well trained in horses and riding.\u00a0\u00a0<strong>White&#8217;s<\/strong> grandfather used to &#8216;break&#8217;
