{"id":11953,"date":"2011-12-19T16:06:57","date_gmt":"2011-12-19T21:06:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=11953"},"modified":"2011-12-19T15:27:12","modified_gmt":"2011-12-19T20:27:12","slug":"singer-etta-james-is-terminally-ill","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=11953","title":{"rendered":"Singer Etta James Is Terminally Ill"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Blues singer <strong>Etta James<\/strong>, who has been suffering from chronic leukemia, is terminally ill, her doctor said.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dr. Elaine James<\/strong>, who is unrelated to the singer and has been living with her since March 2010, is now asking <strong>James\u2019<\/strong> fans to pray for her.<\/p>\n<p>Court documents show that <strong>James<\/strong> also suffers from dementia and kidney failure.<\/p>\n<p>The 73-year-old entertainer, who is most famous for the hit song \u201c<em>At Last<\/em>,\u201d is now under the 24-hour care of <strong>Elaine James<\/strong>, who was hired by the singer\u2019s husband, <strong>Artis Mills<\/strong>, in 2001.<\/p>\n<p>In the 1960s and 1970s, <strong>James<\/strong> was in and out of rehab programs for a heroin addiction.
