{"id":11715,"date":"2011-12-08T15:10:51","date_gmt":"2011-12-08T20:10:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=11715"},"modified":"2011-12-08T15:10:51","modified_gmt":"2011-12-08T20:10:51","slug":"ex-nba-star-gets-probation-in-vegas-casino-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=11715","title":{"rendered":"Ex-NBA Star Gets Probation In Vegas Casino Case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LAS VEGAS &#8212; Former NBA All-Star<strong> Antoine Walker<\/strong> was sentenced to five years&#8217; probation and ordered to pay $770,050 in restitution to three Las Vegas casinos after pleading guilty to failing to repay gambling debts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Walker&#8217;s<\/strong> lawyer declined to comment after his sentencing Tuesday in Clark County District Court.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutor <strong>Samuel Bateman<\/strong> says the felony charge could be dismissed if <strong>Walker<\/strong> fully repays the debts incurred in 2008 and 2009 at the Planet Hollywood, Red Rock Casino Resort and Caesars Palace casinos.<\/p>\n<p>He faces a year in prison if he violates probation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Walker<\/strong> is 35. He was an All-Star with the Boston Celtics before winning a 2006 championship with the Miami Heat.
