HOLTON<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> Sentinel City Editor<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A list of witnesses have been subpoenaed in the federal corruption trial of former Hillsborough County Commissioner, <strong>Kevin White<\/strong>.<strong> White<\/strong> was arrested in June and is facing several charges including conspiracy to commit bribery; bribery; conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud; mail fraud, wire fraud, and making false statements to law enforcement.<\/p>\n<p>The list of witnesses <strong>U. S. Attorney Robert O\u2019Neill<\/strong> plans to call during the trial were read in open court on Monday. Those names are: <strong>William Aponte<\/strong>,<strong> Michael Baker<\/strong>, <strong>Michael Brady<\/strong>, <strong>Greg Brown<\/strong>, <strong>Gamalier Gomez<\/strong>, <strong>Mala Harbajan<\/strong>,<strong> Margaret Hauser<\/strong>, <strong>Kenneth Klocke<\/strong>, <strong>James Martin<\/strong>, <strong>Ian McGeehan<\/strong>, <strong>Mike Merrill<\/strong>, <strong>Leslie Nelson<\/strong>, <strong>Cesar Padilla<\/strong>, <strong>Peter Rockefeller<\/strong>, <strong>Tim Simon<\/strong>, <strong>Bradley Thurman<\/strong>, <strong>Bob Vallee<\/strong>, <strong>Darryl Williams<\/strong>, and <strong>Deven Williams<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>They also plan to call representatives from AT &amp; T Custodian Records, records from the Division of Motorist Services, DTG Operations, Inc., Ruth Chris Steak House, State of Florida, Department of State, and Suncoast Bank.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Attorney O\u2019Neill<\/strong> also reserved the right to call additional witnesses. In his opening statement, <strong>Attorney Grady Irvin, Jr.<\/strong>, <strong>White\u2019s<\/strong> court-appointed attorney, said that <strong>Gerald White<\/strong>, <strong>Kevin White\u2019s<\/strong>, father, was responsible for his son\u2019s involvement. In his opening statement, <strong>Attorney Irvin<\/strong> said, \u201c<strong>Gerald White<\/strong> is a lot of things. He\u2019s a con man. He\u2019s a shyster. He\u2019s a huckster. He\u2019s a manipulator. And he\u2019s a lousy father. \u2026 He never talked about <strong>Kevin White<\/strong> unless he was begging for money at the same time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to a family member, <strong>Gerald White\u2019s<\/strong> wife, daughter, son, and sister have all been subpoenaed.<\/p>\n<p>During the first week of the trial, prosecutors produced video tapes of <strong>White<\/strong> accepting money from Confidential Informants. The prosecution contends that <strong>White<\/strong> conspired with his father and <strong>George Hondrellis<\/strong>, to accept bribes. <strong>White<\/strong> allegedly received more than $10,000 in 2010, the indictment stated.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BY IRIS B.
