{"id":10428,"date":"2011-10-06T15:18:30","date_gmt":"2011-10-06T19:18:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=10428"},"modified":"2011-10-06T14:43:00","modified_gmt":"2011-10-06T18:43:00","slug":"er-doc-jackson-physician-never-mentioned-propofol","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/flsentinel.com\/?p=10428","title":{"rendered":"ER Doc: Jackson Physician Never Mentioned Propofol"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>LOS ANGELES<\/strong> &#8212; An emergency room physician told jurors Monday that <strong>Michael Jackson&#8217;s<\/strong> doctor never mentioned that he had given the singer the powerful anesthetic propofol.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dr. Richelle Cooper<\/strong> recounted her conversations with <strong>Dr. Conrad Murray<\/strong> on the day <strong>Jackson<\/strong> died, telling jurors that he told her that he had only given the singer the sedative lorazepam.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cooper<\/strong> resumed testifying Monday as <strong>Murray&#8217;s<\/strong> involuntary manslaughter trial began its second week.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Murray<\/strong>, 58, has pleaded not guilty and his defense lawyers claim <strong>Jackson<\/strong> gave himself a fatal dose of sedatives and propofol, which is normally administered in hospital settings.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities say he administered the fatal dose and acted recklessly by providing <strong>Jackson<\/strong> the drug as a sleep aid.<strong> Cooper<\/strong> testified she never asked <strong>Murray<\/strong> to sign a death certificate because, by the time he was brought to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center,<strong> Jackson<\/strong> became her patient.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LOS ANGELES &#8212; An emergency room physician told jurors Monday that Michael Jackson&#8217;s doctor never mentioned that he had given the singer the powerful anesthetic propofol.
